Sjón

The internationally renowned author Sjón was “Writer in Residence” at PIK and Kulturareal Schiffbauergasse in June and July 2017.
Sjón is considered one of Iceland’s most versatile artists. The extraordinary spectrum of works of the artistic border crosser ranges from poetry and prose to screenplays, plays, opera libretti, surrealistic and musical performances to song lyrics for, among others, the singer Björk as well as for the Lars von Trier film “Dancer in the Dark”, which were nominated for an Oscar.
