Artist and curator Helena Nikonole works in the field of new media. Her primary interests are hybrid art, future-oriented aesthetics, the internet of things, and artificial intelligence. In her work she explores both the potential as well as risks and dangers of these topics —aspects that, in her view, many researchers and apologists of new technologies do not adequately address. In Berlin, she expanded her research on the use of artificial intelligence in the context of sound and media performances, and deepened and broadened her existing contacts with local artists and researchers.
