Shabrang
Karima Shabrang has been a guest of the ICORN program since November 2022. The Afghan poet has written five volumes of poetry, which have won various literary awards. The Afghan Voice Agency, the first media agency established after the fall of the former Taliban regime, released a documentary on poetry directed by Karima Shabrang in 2019. Shabrang, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Persian Language and Literature from Kabul University, has worked as a teacher of Persian literature, a teacher trainer for a non-governmental organisation and a gender advisor for various organisations in Kabul, among other things. During her ICORN fellowship in Berlin, she will work on a new book of poetry.
