Pedrón Nicolau

Manuela Pedrón Nicolau is an independent curator based in Madrid. She is interested in artistic research and the narrative on contemporary art. Along with Jaime González Cela, she co-curated exhibitions at CaixaForum Barcelona, National Library Museum, La Fragua at Tabacalera in Madrid, among others. As a curatorial team, they have been granted fellowships on curating and mediation research at the Spanish Academy in Rome, at Hangar (Barcelona), Centro Huarte (Pamplona) and Museo Reina Sofía. They currently run the educational program CRÁTER at Sala de Arte Joven and VENECIA reading group at La Casa Encendida. In 2023 she co-curated, along with Adriana Reyes and Carolina Sisabel, the program Universidad Popular at CA2M focused on the ways of access to knowledge from communication with non-human lives and spiritualities, connecting artistic, technological and ritualistic practices.
Manuela Pedrón Nicolau will be in Berlin from April to June 2023 as part of a cooperation with Matadero Madrid. Her stay is made possible by a scholarship of the DAAD Arts and Media Program.
