The 68th International Festival of Contemporary Music in Venice will run from September 26th to October 11th, 2024, directed by Lucia Ronchetti (Fellow 2005). The program will feature several daily events with international soloists and ensembles as well as the activities of the Biennale College Musica dedicated to new projects that will be part of the Festival’s program.

For the first time, the Artists-in-Berlin Program is co-curating a full concert program at the Biennale. Under the umbrella of the overall topic, “Absolute Music2, former fellow, Zsolt Sörés (2021) was commissioned with a new composition, while Ash Fure (Fellow 2018) was invited to adapt her latest piece, ANIMAL, for this context. Robert Machiri (Fellow 2021) is preparing an “absolute music” DJ Set to round up the night. The three former fellows will speak about their practice and their associations with the festival topic in a panel discussion moderated by Dahlia Borsche, head of music & sound at the Artists-in-Berlin Program.
