12.09.2024 / 19:00 – 22:00
With Jay Afrisando

Composer and multimedia artist, Jay Afrisando is completing the 2024 music & sound fellow cohort. Originally from Indonesia, he has arrived at Berlin from the US where he has been working as Assistant Professor of Music at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His works include interactive installations, music-theater, and creative filmmaking, and he entices audiences into sensory richness by simply, radically, including it.

To introduce his practice to local scenes and future collaborators, Jay Afrisando is inviting to a pop-up exhibition and artist talk at daadgalerie, featuring works centering on aural diversity, disability, and access as creative sources that investigate and highlight humans’ hearing-listening diversity. The artist talk will be moderated by Kate Brehme, co-founder of Berlinklusion (Network for Accessibility in Art and Culture).
