“I am inclined to favour entry through the foreign door, that is for sure.” Paul Ricœur
Paul Ricoeur defines linguistic hospitality as “where the pleasure of dwelling in the other’s language is balanced by the pleasure of receiving the foreign word at home, in one’s own welcoming house.” We invite you to an evening of multilingual and multigenre event where translators, poets, writers, playwrights, musicians come together to give voice to human plurality, the “foreign door, at a welcoming house” of daadgalerie. Old and current fellows of the program and Berlin-based artists will perform. Tea & cookies offered.
Readings and music by David Moss, Don Mee Choi, Ghayath Almadhoun, Ivana Sajko, Logan February, Susie Ibarra, Nhã Thuyên, Charlotte Thießen, and Tom McCarthy
