The event marks the first presentation of the book and the premier of Repeat after Me, 2024 in Germany. The screening is accompanied by a talk with the curator of this year’s Polish Pavilion Marta Czyż and two members of Open Group, Yuriy Biley and Anton Varga.
The English-language book accompanies the exhibition Repeat after Me II by the Ukrainian collective Open Group in the Polish Pavilion at the 60th Art Biennale in Venice and it was supported by the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program with special funds from the Federal Foreign Office.
The performative audiovisual installation presented there consisted of two videos of the same name, which were created with the participation of Ukrainian war refugees in 2022 and 2024. The book is richly illustrated with images from the videos and photographs of the places, amongst others in Tegel (Berlin), where they were created.
