Valeska Gert Visiting Professorship Ong Keng Sen
Singapore-based director and curator Ong Keng Sen worked with dance studies students at the Freie Universität Berlin on decolonial perspectives in dance and performance during the winter semester 2022/23. The main focus was on developing individual “unhappy archives,” whose idea, form, and view-changing potential will be shared with public audiences at the closing event on February 3. The Valeska Gert Visiting Professorship exists since 2006 as a cooperation between the Akademie der Künste, the Freie Universität Berlin, and the DAAD. Each semester, a dance or performance artist is invited to work together with students of dance studies, including practice-based work.
